My year 2017

Year 2017 was everything but boring. We traveled a lot as usual. Our first trip usually starts at the same time as Chinese New year. This time of year is really better to leave China unless you really like crowds, queues, overloaded highways, trains and buses just madness everywhere. And that we don’t like . So here are all the trips we have done in 2017…

 

JANUARY – FEBRUARY
AUSTRALIA

Itinerary: Guangzhou – Bangkok – Sydney – Brisbane – Taroom (You’ve never heard about this place? Don’t worry. It’s my boyfriend’s hometown in outback Australia) – Gladstone – Seventeen Seventy (Yes this place really exists) – Bundaberg – Fraser’s Island – Sunshine coast – Maleny – Brisbane – Sydney
Experience: Visiting friends and family in Sydney, Brisbane, Taroom and Bundaberg, chill out and diving with sea turtles in Seventeen Seventy, soldier crabs and Dingo dogs on Fraser’s island, beautiful beaches in Sunshine cost, Amazing scenery and nature in Maleny, hike Mt. Tamborine….
Food: I totally fell in love with Auzzie meat pies! (and Bundaberg lemonades)

MARCH
FOSHAN XI QIAO SHAN

Itinerary: Sanshui – Foshan
Experience: Just one day trip to Xi Qiao mountain. Not far away from our home. Nice walk through the forests. This walk ends up on the top of the mountain where giant sitting Buddha is watching the city below….

APRIL
CHINA SHAANXI PROVINCE

Itinerary: Guangzhou – Xi’ An –  Hukou waterfall – Hua shan – Zhashui
Experience: Mysterious and charming Xi’an city center, climb one of the most popular and one of the most beautiful mountain in China – Hua shan, visited more remote and less known places in Shaanxi
Food: Absolutely best dish in China – Rou Jia Mo Chinese burger! Never miss when visiting Xi’an

MAY
CHINA GUANGXI PROVINCE

Itinerary: Guangzhou – Guilin – Yangshuo
Experience: The most famous karst area in China, visiting famous Reed flute caves, cormorant fishing on the Li river, bicycle trip to Yangshuo, hike Xiang gong mountain

JUNE
CHINA GUIZHOU PROVINCE

Itinerary: Guangzhou – Guiyang – Anshun – Qianxinan
Experience: impressive LongGong waterfall and caves , driving through less popular but equally beautiful karst area Wanfenglin, one of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve ever seen in Maling river canyon

JULY
CZECH REPUBLIC

My annual trip to Czech – my home.
Experience: had a great time with my family and friends! Party party party!!!

AUGUST
CHINA NINGXIA PROVINCE

Itinerary: Guangzhou – Yinchuan
Experience: Hike magnificent Helan mountains
Food: Super delicious lamb dishes of all kinds

SEPTEMBER
ENGLAND

Itinerary: Birmingham –  Burbage – Peak district national Park
Experience: Visit friends, drive through lovely English countryside, hike Mam Tor 

OCTOBER
NINGBO and SHANGHAI

 

Itinerary: Ningbo – Shanghai
Experience: CTCC race, had a great time in Mandarin Oriental Shanghai

NOVEMBER
CHINA MO GUANGZHOU

Not many things happened in November but . Our favorite Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou hosted Michelin star chef Stefano Baiocco. We couldn’t miss this event…

 

DECEMBER
JAPAN
(21.12.-2.1.2018)

Itinerary: Tokyo – Hokkaido (Hakodate – Niseko – Sapporo) – Tokyo – Nagano
Experience: Madness in Tokyo main station, tasting Hokkaido wines and cheese in Hakodate, powder snow and great skiing in Niseko, All-you-can-drink beer and all-you-can-eat BBQ lamb in Sapporo brewery, stay in lovely traditional ryokan in Olympic city Nagano, snow monkey national park, another great skiing in Iiama and much more!
Food: Sushi, Udon, Soba, Tempura, Miso, Beef, Sake, Wine, Beer

Year 2017 was indeed busy. All these trips were amazing. We visited a lot of beautiful places and experienced a lot of cool things! Just had a great time as usual… And I have a feeling that 2018 won’t be different 🙂
